Default Turbo kit

im planning to go turbo but for some reason greddy turbo kits only go to a 99 gsr, and i have a 00 gsr does it make a difference, need more info.

The only thing that is different i think is the length of the downpipe. since the piping in 94-99 gsrs are different than the 00-01.. the 00-01 downpipe will be able an inch or so short.. it should be an easy fix. that should be the only thing different

Blue box won't work without rewiring.
Downpipe needs modification.
However, the carb number does cover the 00 year, so it is legal.

i knew the down pipe needed work, so the blue box needs to be rewired huh? is it easy to do?

if i were you i wouldnt put the turbo on a car that its not meanth to be on, because if there is a company defect with a part or something they wont take it back, they'll blame it on you!

My man you have a lot of searching and reading you need to do. Please spend a lot in the forced induction forum.

re-wire the blue box and lengthen the downpipe.

However their kit is only CARB legal if left unmodified. The above changes should not pass smog. not to mention i think the sticker says from 96-99gsr

someone said that it would pass smog, it covers 94 thur 00, but the kit is for 94-99 but this does not matter anyways, i live in alaska we do have smog checks here too but ill keep it in the garage in the winter.
