Anyone know about military people shipping cars from japan...
so i figured instead of taking a loan out to buythe 97 r for sale in here, i would take a loan out and have my brother buy a type r from japan and ship it to me, he is stationed in japan for 2 years, he has been there for 2 months now(navy)
so will the military ship his vehicle for free...or pretty cheap?
i assume the going prices for a type r are not to high in japan either since full front cips are what like 6k?
feel free to offer any insight and flame if you want too, and make me a happy RRR owner, im not really a noob so im not just bullshitting, my hammerdgolfer name got kicked out of here...

i assume also he can ship a vehicle from japan becaus he is in the military, so if he can only ship parts then that will be too much work

Situations are always different. Have him talk to his CO and get the requirements in writing, it will be much more clear than ramblings from an internet board.

There are some Marines that I know that have brought in JDM cars, but for the most of it, its not gonna be easy. A car must conform to US Standards....but there are loop holes you should tell you brother to ask around, someone is always bound to know.......
