Front cross member troubles
I finally got the mount that goes on the front crossmember and bolts to the tranny. I take off the cross member tonight and bolt the mount onto it then bolt it to the tranny. I then put the bars that go into the cross member back in and try to bolt the cross member up to the frame. I can get one side in but the other side doesnt line up. I tried for 3 hours to get it lined up.
Are these always a pain to do or am I just over looking something? Im not sure of what the correct steps are to put this back on. I have never done anything like this before. Im pretty much ready to tow it to a shop and let them deal with it.
Any suggestions?

Well then, I feel like a complete dumb *** now. Anyways, have you tried bolting it up in a different order? I have found that to help me many a time while I am working on suspension parts due to the directions of tension applied and what order and such what if you get my drift.

I tried every single combination I could think of the only thing I didnt do was turn the mount upside down. There is a hole on each side of it and Im starting to think I have it upside down the more I think about it.
I do believe it can be put the wrong way now that I think of it...my front one broke the first time I took it out so I never had to put one in, but it did look like it was asymetrical.
When I removed my front crossmember and tried to put it back on, the bolt holes wouldnt line up either. One side was off by about 1/4 of an inch. I had to leg press the front chassis to get the bolts to line up, while a couple friends put the bolts in . My guess is our cars have a lot of chassis flex.

We tried jacks to get them to line up, they wouldnt budge. Im thinking if I dont have the mount upside down then Im going to use a come along from the rear LCA to the CM and just crank it down till it lines up.
