I COULD use a solenoid for a kill-switch.........right?
I was thinking earlier today...How about this:
A fully hermetic solenoid, but instead of a coil of wire acting as a magnet, just use a permanent magnet- seperate by itself, carry it with you. Hook this up to the starter circuit so the solenoid normally keeps the circuit open (spring action). then when you get in your car. put a magnet to it, "click" it moves down to complete the circuit, turn the key- ignition- back to the "on" position and drive. At this point you wouldnt need the starter circuit, so put the magnet back in your pocket, -click- spring action pushed the solenoid back up to open the circuit. Just dont carry the magnet in the same pocket as your other electrical goodies (phone, alarm fob)
I think Ill try this out.

I believe there were some S-10 extremes that came with a similar type of security feature... not exactly the same, but similar nonetheless.
