Default 2005 b16 (ctr)build

i am thinking of building a B16 this summer, this mite take a year, due to money and time. i have plans ofmaking my own version of a CTR. i want a DAILY DRIVER
with power. i want lookin to get mid 13s with street rires.. i want to have high CR like 11. or 12.
i was thinking of gettin
- aftermarket rods and pistons.package
OR ctr pistons w/new b16 rods....whats the pro/cons of each
-ITR/skunk2 mainfold..what ever one i can find 1st
-bored TB
- stage 2/3 exdey clutch
- 1 or 2 layer head gasket ..is 1 layer safe?
-skunk2 or CTR cams.. what ever one i can find 1st
-Crower cam gears. but im open to suggestions
**what can be done to my stock crank(knifed)?
**can whats the "real diffence" between aftermarket pistons vs ctr pistons?

The head was the first thing I addressed on my b16. I got Rocket's valve springs and retainers, Omni flat face valves, and BC 3+ cams. Having high compression and stock cams is not really worth while. If you are planning 12:1 then you need to get a set of cams that can use that compression. The cams that you would want to use necessitate changing the valve springs and retainers.

i mean b/c i can get the block done and do the swap! then do the head! the rods and pistons are going to cost the most ..1000 for them

just do a simple setup and you will make decent power dont go out buying all the high priced parts you dont need to.

Stock head gasket
get the head milled 20 thou
flat valves
omnipower valve train setup
use p30 pistons
stock rods
new honda bearings and gaskets
balance the whole assembly
get a valve job and a pocket port
run some decent cams... buddy clubs seem to make a lot mid range. And skunk2 stage 1's always seem like a good choice too
get some cam gears
and i can stress enoughGET A DECENT HEADER AND EXHAUST SYSTEM!!! no DC4-2-1 to stock piping with a muffler crap
oh ya...... HONDATA!!!!!!!!!
