your not going to sell a salvage ITR here for $15.5K

 

maybe 12-13k. 15k+ with clear title. tell your buddy good luck asking a premium when he "has" to sell. Someone may want it though, it is an R after all, just brought back to life.

 

I'd rather just dump an extra 1.5K for Kenji's '98 ITR.

 

That $15.5 is what he has it listed for on Autotrader. I know he'll accept alot less for it. He has mentioned that he has to sell within a week or so. He will probably just end up putting it on Ebay, but I thought I'd let someone on H-T.com take a stab at it.

Can we get more details... what kind of damage was done to the car. Does it have any mechanical flaws or cosmetic flaws. Where is it located? I may be interested...

If your buddy puts it on ebay he will get way less. I bet it wouldn't sell for more than 12K on ebay. The thing is, people on ebay go there expecting bargains....

If he is willing to take far less than 15.5K like you stated, why did he list it at 15.5K in the first place? Just seems kind of odd.

If it sells for 15.5K I'll eat my own poop.

I'm not sure his motivation behind his original asking price. I know he'll go considerably lower. The car is in Richmond, Virginia. Someone local should AT LEAST go check it out this week. I'm no where's near this car guys, so my knowledge is rather limited, so please contact Andrew with your questions. His number is listed in the Autotrader link provided.

I inquired about this car earlier in the week and found out about his situation with moving. He seemed like a decent guy with nothing to hide. I can't pursue purchasing the car, so I figured I'd give him a little extra exposure on H-T.com.
