Is is possible to install the internals from an itr transmission in a gsr transmission case? I have a type-r transmission with a hole worn through the case inside the bell-housing (clutch exploded), and a gsr transmission with bad bearing or bearings.

Can the parts from both be turned into a working transmission? If so, are there any parts which will need replacement?

it will fit just fine, as far as replacing...well you need to replace the parts that are broken

 

yes everything will work, you and even just use the lower case if you wanna

 

Thanks guys! That's good to know. I think I'm going to just order a new lower case for about $400, fix both transmissions, and sell my gsr tranny, hopefully for more than ~$400.

I wasn't mad, but rather just pointing out that I wasn't going to bump the thread again.
