violent idle ?

Default violent idle ?

i recently missed a gear and redlined really hard. . .and now my car idles like crap. . it idles really hard like its about to stall, but above 2500 rpm everything is normal, and i dont notice any loss of power except from idle to 2500 it hesitatea a little. any oppinions of what is causing it to idle like that?

If you bent a valve or valves due to an over-rev you probably bent a rod aswell.Pull the plugs and check them for anything strange.Especially any oil fouling.It will be cylinder #3 more than likely.More than likely this will be a pretty expensive mistake.

yeah i took it to a local garage and they said i have 140 psi in piston #3 and the rest are at 160. . . they told me there could be a crack in the #3 spark plug hole. . .is it repairable?

why is it more likely to be #3?? No flame, just a newbie trying to learn
