Default modified GSR .. hp too low? dynod

well i just had a GSR motor with CTR pistons dropped in my LS

they used 310 injctors
new fuel pump
obd1 gsr ecu
VAFC2

i also have intake / dc 4/1 header / high flow cat and exhaust

for some strange reason i only pulled 155 hp to the wheels

is this too low? seems i should be making much more power with the high comp pistons and vafc2 tuning?...

Yes, your numbers seem low. Time to start diagnosing the engine. Compression, leak down, etc.

You're from Carlisle?

Where'd you get it dyno'd at? Dynamic Motorsports?

If you wanna' stop by with the car, I work at Sound Innovations out on Trindle. I'm sure one of us here could help you diagnose the problem.

People always forget one of the most important parts, what kind of dyno was it? If it was a Mustang, that's about right.

You are way undercammed if you have the stock gsr cams

using stock gsr cams .. but still shoulnt i be capable of making at least 170-180 whp? the fuel system was upped to 310cc rc injectors , and high flow fuel pump and fpr were installed ... with vafc2 tuning also ... im really wondering whats holding me back. maybe just my LS throtle body ... also the stock gsr ecu ?? that isnt taking advantage of my high comp pistons is it ?

No you woudnt make 170-180 whp. Raising compression alone with some bolt ons wont yield much power. Its all about engine packaging.

What does your AFR look like??? What is your timing set to??? Looks like your VTEC crossover is too low.

Yes the LS throttle body is holding you back, but not all the way to 155hp. Id say some decent cams+tb and tuning would give you around 15hp, being conservative. Still not astonashing numbers for a 1.8l with CTR slugs.

way undercammed for the compression. ls tb is a lil small but not holding you back that bad. Is your dc 4-1 a "jdm" model with 2.5" collector? or is it the regular version? if its the regular version, thats choking you a good bit as well.

Easy, look at the dip when vtec hits, you dont need to see rpm to know where to set vtec.
