Default GSR Drivers Side Mirror Problem Help!

Ok,

So I was detailing my 98 GSR with my porter cable buffer and was getting a nice little scratch that some nice motorist had put into my Drivers Side Mirror...well somehow the buffer vibrated the mirror enough that some of the insides got hosed up...

Inside the mirror there is a spring that is held down by a C-Clamp...well that clamp got vibrated loose and the spring lost its load.....has anyone ever had this happen before? How can I get the spring compressed again with the C-clamp? I have been trying to compress this little spring down and clamping it, but I can't compress it enough...any suggestions? Khudos to Honda for making this a pain in my ***.

BTW anyone know the best place to get a 98+ Milano Red GSR mirror?

you can take off the glass..when you pull it off you will see a ball end that the glass attaches to..then out the clip on then snap the glass back on

I have the inside mirror motor assembly I could sell you, which has everything you need. You can just swap it out and use your current mirror housings and glass.

It's not too hard to do, only thing is that you have to de-pin the motor harness to get the harness out thru the small hole in the triangular mirror base. Other than that it's straightforward.

$30 + shipping takes it if you're interested.
