whats the difference between the two (ex and lx ) engine
I looked up the engines they have different abreviations and the ex has 5 more horses ????????????? anybody clue?? thnx luke

 

actually the ex is rated for 15 more horses at a whopping 140 i just put a 92 ex f22a6 which is the same a the 93 ex. everthing is the same except the intake manifold it is dual runner manifold(8 ports instead of 4), the ECU will be needed from the a6 engine or from any a6 engine which are found in 92-93 ex and 91 and 93 se accords. the camshaft and exhaust manifolds are different but not that important if your doing a swap. i just swapped in the a6 in place of my a1 as long as you use the right IM and ECU you wont have any problems. the differences of the EM is the design the lxs and dxs had a 4-1 design while the exs and se of the years listed above had 4 - 2 - 1 design but the bolt patern is the same.
