b16 idle issue

b16 idle issue
hi fellas, im new to the forums and fairly new to honda's when it comes to tuning. i bought a very nice ek off of kyle who had his car for sale on this forum, its this ek right here:
the idle issue im having is, is a very low idle. im talking, 200rpm's. the normal idle should be around 1k to 1.5krpms. although the idle drops to about 200rpm's, the car never dies, so stalling is not the issue, just a super low idle. kyle purchased me a new iat sensor after being told it would fix the idle issue. i get the sensor, and i go to replace the current one with the new one, the right bolt ends up being stripped, badly stripped. tried using a screw extractor, but got nothing. my last resort will be to take the strut bar off and throttle line off to get to the screw with some vice grips.
besides the sensor not being able to come out, i noticed something. when the air is cold, like in the morning, the car doesnt drop below 1k rpm's. i drove it to work this morning and noticed i had no drop below 1k rpm's. the car was tuned in phoenix arizona and i reside in tucson arizona, which has a 1,000 ft elevation difference.
im thinking that getting it retuned for tucson weather would be the fix, the iat might not be the issue at all. but kyle said he would rarely get the low idle when he had it, whereas i get it everytime i stop at a stop light.
any other ideas on what might be the problem? thanks in advance.

well, its only cold in tucson right now in the morning. i drive to work every morning around 7am and its fairly cold outside, probly in the high 60's. clutch in or not in the morning, it doesnt drop below 1k rpms. once i start it up when i leave work, around 430pm, the idle drops to around 200rpms. the weather has to be the kulprit. im thinking its just the damn iat sensor.

Judging by the fact that the car is idling at 1k tells me that the idle screw has probably been tampered with.
Put the car in base mode and adjust the idle screw to 750 rpms. Not 1k.. that's WAY too high.
It's not the IAT unless you're throwing a code. Honda IAT's rarely cause idle issues.
