2004 Accord V6 EX NAV Transmission problem?
OK, I'm new here. I really need to know if anyone is having this type of problem.
When I shift from park to reverse I have about a 2-3 second hesitation before the transmission engages. Going from reverse to drive I get a 2-3.5 second hesitation.
The dealer says its normal.....I say BS. This hesitation is long enongh to run up RPM's on the engine therefore getting a very HARD engagment. I have been told by the service manager that it is the way WE drive. Funny I've had about 25 cars in my lifetime and none have done this. PLEASE any feedback would be great!

I just got my '04 Accord Coupe EX V6 Nav last week and I noticed the same thing.. but only when I am backing up and then shifting into drive. It seems to jump a little.. even if I am not giving it any gas. I don't know what's up with it but it seemed a little odd. Also, off the subject, I also noticed that when I don't turn off the radio and turn the car off... when I get back into the car and start it up.. it hesitates like it doesn't want to start. Are you having this problem too? I'd be interested to find out.
No, I can say that I have had that problem. The transmission and a little forward movement in the two front seats (about a 1/4") are driving me nuts right now.
There is a bulletin on the automatic transmission for your car.
The ECM probably needs to be updated. There is software that the
ECM is missing that it needs. Check into that with your dealer.

Accords are setup this way cause too many idiots think it's all right for the transmission to just go from reverse to drive and start going even though the car is still moving backwards.
Which recall? There are a few transmission recalls for your yeat accord.
ECM- Engine Control Module
Did they do the update, or install an oil Jet kit for the 2nd gear?
Or did they do both???

the ECM update is for 4 cylinder engine Accord only and that's for a No reverse condition.

When I am backing up and run over your mama I will just tell the police I am an idiot.
It's people like you that make a strong case for abortion.
If you don't have anything to say that helps just SHUT UP!
Thank you.
