2004 Accord EX: Starts then shuts off
I have a 2004 Accord EX Automatic with about 154k on the odometer.
Yesterday it was started giving me problem with it staying on. The car was already warm as I had been driving it. I went to a convenience store and tried starting it and it would start then the idle speed would drop and the engine would shut off.
I had a similar problem like this before and remedied it after I discovered the coolant was low(a feature I guess that prevents one from overheating engine).
This time around though, it doesn't run rough like before. It'll stay on as long as I give it gas and after I coaxed it to run like this on the road, the problem went away and tried running it again and it started and stayed on with no problem.
I'm afraid that it will do this again when I don't need it to.
Any suggestions?

Re: 2004 Accord EX: Starts then shuts off
Okay, this problem is back now. Shut off in the middle of a busy intersection but I managed to get back on and coax it to run by giving it gas and pushing the brake pedal at the same time.
Cranks, starts and runs, but it's idling rough like the RPM's are too low.
What would cause this? Maybe the Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) or Idle Air Control(IAC)? Maybe a bad fuel pump or injector?
Thanks in advance!

Do you have a maf on that one? I forgot which year they started but remove that and look for bugs or debris on it.

Re: 2004 Accord EX: Starts then shuts off
Update:
I found a large tear in the rubber intake duct and I'm sure that wasn't helping, but even after replacing it with a new one, it still won't stay running.
As long as I give it gas, it will stay on, but as soon as I let go of the gas, it shuts off.
Any input?

Update:
PROBLEM SOVLED:
Replaced the IACV and problem is gone. Idles perfect.
The IACV might have gone bad because of the tear/crack in the air intake tube that has probably been there for a long time and got worse over time. It probably let a lot of dirty air in since it was bypassing the air filter.
TIP: I used some Honda SHIN-ETSU white grease and lightly coated the metal parts where the intake tube slide over, that way when I go to remove it next time I change the air filter or clean the throttle body, it hopefully won't stick to the metal parts.
