I have an automatic prelude S what can I do for HP?
I need some decent power that isn't going to be too expensive...would i / h / e even be worth it?
Let me know guys..I'm not expecting huge gains obviously but just a little more power.
Also a real quick question..I think I got a magnaflow exhaust and then I put a high air flow tip on ...did that give more power or just sound because the tip was the stock prelude one i think.
Btw this hasn't been covered on prelude S (espeically automatic) so its a new post i believe

Swap in an h22. That is your only option.
Just kidding. I/E/H will help it breath a little bit, but since you are starting off with such a small amount of hp, you wont see very big gains.
Nitrous or Junkyard turbo isnt a bad idea. The f22 has a low compression and the blocks are a dime a dozen if you blow it.

maybe you should just save for a h22 .. imo don't convert to stick unless you are going all out performance, if its a daily leave it.

I deserve it, and I live with my power loss. Anything's better than the mercury tracer.

i think you get an h22 with a manual tranny but if you want to keep your auto try swapping for the h22 with triptonic tranny. i think that would work. it will be cool to see a tiptronic 4th gen too.
well you lose more power to the wheels through triptonic than through manual.
buts its really your choice.

hah you have a prelude man just go for looks...performance gains may come down the road if you do swap the h22, but evne if you don't you still have a prelude man..plus your body type i think is the lightest.
In spite of what cranky pants has to say, a light boosting of about 6-8 psi on that low compression motor using an fmu for tuning is headache free fun. I daily drive a turbo h22 manual and I wouldn't trade the manual for the world but, do yourself a favor and don't get into the expensive world of the h22. Turbo your car for cheap and add a manual later if you'd like. I put a turbo kit together for my ford escort (and you know how slow they are) and I am running 6psi with an fmu and all said and done I am under $600 for the complete setup. With that low of boost you don't need an intercooler. You also get faster spoolup times. And it's pretty quick. It beats on civic si's.
Let me know if you want help on tracking down turbo supplies that are new or like new for cheap.

Why not just save up and if you really want another prelude, get a VTEC model. That way you are getting all of the better interior features as well as a H22a. and the difference in price will probably be what you will pay just doing the engine swap.
