Default spark plug to cover the o2 bung in cat - safe or no?

i have a magnaflow cat with one o2 bunghole. it used to have a screw that covers it, but i lost that. now, it's in the car, and since the hole is exposed, it sounds nasty. (leak. my o2 sensor is in the headers, so the one in the cat is not required to be open and needs to be sealed)

from my previous thread, people said that spark plugs, oil plugs, etc are the same in thread and cover the universal cat bunghole. do you think it's safe to cover it TEMPORARILY with a spark plug? will i blow up? or is it completely safe? anyone running this setup?

I wouldn't think it would "blow up" or spark since there wouldn't be any charge going to the spark plug?

Why not just run to Home Depot and get a bolt to plug it up?

The only thing I can think of to do, which is a pain in the ***, is to take your O2 sensor into Home Depot and match it up to the correct threads and diameter of a bolt with the little charts they have by the bolts. By charts I mean a piece of plastic that has holes of different diameter and pitch of threads cut into it, then you can match it up.

I think you should use the sparkplug and then run power to it so you can push a button and throw flames out the tailpipe! sweet.
