New S2000 owner
Brother just purchased an 04 S2000 so far we got 160 miles on it. I have some questions. How many miles are put on the car before they reset to 0 to sell the car... which brings Q # 2 after how many more miles can i start using fully synthetic oil ? So far the car hasnt seen more then 5k rpms and will be driven very lightly untill a few hundred miles of using Mobil 1 SuperSyn 10w30. Initially i was thinking i will change to full synthetic oil after 2500 miles... is this too soon?? and also how many miles before i can enjoy the higher end of the rpms??

I don't understand your first question.
Wait at least one oil change cycle before switching to synthetic. Honda had a bulletin out saying to wait after 15k miles, but I don't think that's necessary. Change your oil the first time after 3-4k miles. After another 3k miles, switch to synthetic. Drive the car normally, don't abuse it. Open it up after 600 miles per the owners manuel.

i changed mine over on the first oil change which i did at exactly 5000 miles... and i first redlined it at around 500miles.. but didnt' do it again till i hit 1000miles... but like vapor has said, after 600 miles, you can open her up and have a blast..
and as for the miles on the OD... they don't reset it to 0.. that would be against the law...
i ended up buying mine brand new with only 8 miles on it... and thats cause they had it stores at some warehouse.. and they had to drive it to me..
