Got wideband, need to know how to log these #s

Default Got wideband, need to know how to log these #s

I recently got a plx wideband o2 sensor, i need to know how to test my afr, do i do it in 3rd gear? on a street somewhere? how will i be able to datalog everything? I have a cx tranny, 1st gear goes to 45, 2nd goes to 84, 3rd goes to 120 something... any help is much appreciated!! thanks so much guys.. inspiration all over these sites. for real.. ppl so damn smart

You can't datalog with PLX unit by itself unless you have their datalogging version(ie M-500)

But you can datalog your AFR with your EMS (ie. hondata, uberdata, AEM EMS, etc etc.) Take you wideband output from your PLX (white wire if i remember correctly) and connect it to your wideband input for your EMS. Follow the manual of course.

thanks for the quick response YOU ARE THE MAN! i need to know where to run my car ( on the streets on the freeway or where on top of bricks or on TREDMILLS LOL) and what gear i have to run my car ( cx tranny ) 1st: 45 2nd: 84 3rd : 12x? 4th : unknown to fast . any help is appreciated thanks for the help i can count on you guys for answers

just get on the freeway, but the tracks would be best...do a third gear pull up to redline...keep an eye on the display and try to mount it close to your tach, so you can see at what rpm you need to make adjustments on...oh and if you do this on the streets, i recommend bringing a friend with you to watch the tach and wideband display, so you can keep an eye on the road...also, make sure that the car is warmed up before you make a pull...takes about 5 minutes for my plx to get warmed up enough to make accurate readings.

edit, just noticed you're using a longer geared tranny...a 2nd gear pull would work...
