It'd work, but why not just get the 59300 like it was designed for the z6?
If you use the y8 cam in the Z6, you have to degree it by 5 degress (forgot retard or advance) So a cam gear is needed.

first stage dude, no it doesnt require upgrade, but if you want to go higher rpm , then yes you will for safety
