Well i usually use the s2k filter and when i got it, the thing was huge! was wondering if i am still able to us it on the ITR

i would think so,

but i thought i saw something on the type r legends video about using a smaller filter, and it being better for track use.... if you track your car

It will fit fine, the base and tread pitch are the same. As far as the old S2k filter, it is the same as the small HAMP filter which increases oil pressure, which is a big plus for hard driving and track use. Maybe they went to a larger filter for the larger 2.2L engine size.. no clue on that one...
