Default f22 question

What would I have to do to run a sneeky peet nos kit on my 93 accord lx? Already have intake, header, exhuast, I know I need a fuel regulater to boost it a few more psi, do I retard timming or advance, do I need adjustable cam gear or anything else? I have the kit on my 79 yz 250 dry it runs like a raped date I was kinda hoping I can run it dry on my car since it should not be more than 20 or 30 ponys more or maybey not even that who knows? If you now what your talking about please post back!

maybe you should search this topic because it has been covered MANY MANY MANY times. you can run a 50shot fine anyways.... 20/30shots are pointless in my opinion. many people have ran dry kits with no problems at all... im not sure about the timing, but i would suggest you invest in a nitrous mastermind, and maybe an MSD ignition system...just my 2 cents. as you probably know, nitrous can be very deadly to your engine so just use your common sense and your sneeky peet dry system will work just fine.

good luck and do a search for more specifics....its been covered several times.

I'm not sure about the whole nitrous thing, but which do you have, a turbo setup or I/H/E? <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by f22hafler &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Already have intake, header, exhuast, I know I need a fuel regulater to boost it a few more psi... </TD></TR></TABLE> You can't have a header if you're running a turbo...

If youre going to run a nitrous system, make sure the pedal is to the floor so as to open to throttle completely and get enough gas in there to burn the nitrous, if not, there may be too much O2 getting in the engine and something WILL definitely burn. By the way questions on this site may not get answered in an hour on a Sunday, just be patient.

To answer your main questions, whatever you do don't advance timing. Advancing the timing is likely to cause detonation. An adjustable FPR is a good idea, and bump up the PSI at least 2. On a sneaky pete setup, you are probably ok running stock timing as long as teh engine is in good condition and properly tuned up, and you are running the highest octane fuel you can buy at your location. But it wouldn't hurt reliability to retard timing 2 degrees. Another thing to consider is how you use it, like someone else mentioned at Wide Open Throttle. A kit with a "brain" will only open at WOT. Another thing, you don't want to use it at low RPMs, you want to use it towards your power band to keep from detonating.

you my friend are a dumbfuck, you are trying to be smart but you just made yourself look like a fool, he wasnt talking about running boost, he was talking about raising the fuel pressure.

just as a side note, i'm sure everything ever known about accords is in the search database, but this open forum is still here for a reason.
You basically need three thing besides I/H/E:
1. Fuel Pressure Regulator.
2. Colder Plugs.
3. Slight Time Retarding.
and that's for like a 50-60 shot too. Other than that, the F22 is a strong bitch, she can take alot of spray (so i've heard).
