Default ** INstalled LSD in a GSR and now the Axel won't go In anymore ** Oil leak

Hi, My mechanic installed a LSD in my GSR 97 transmission about 1 week ago. Since then, the transmission is leaking oil at the gasket ring on the passenger side shaft. I pull ht car up, and realize that the axel does not go trough all the way in and does not clip at the end (once it is deeply engaged in the whole) This leaves a little gap preventing the axel end to go touch the rubber gasket ring. Now, me and my mechanic we are out of idead of what is going wrong... The shaft just wont go deeper, it has bout 3 mm off as what it would be normally...

Soeone please help.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the differential may not have had the proper lashing? Also, was it the right differential for that transmission? Had to ask.

is the little metal ring on the end of the axle original or new?
