ive had my experience with a spoon motor...
if mugen made a production motor maybe i can compare.
but overall i like mugen's ecu over spoon.
its in your taste. if you ever get the chance to, take the two products and compare to your own style. other than that you can never go by what other people think. just go by experience points.

just curious... what are your guys opinions based on?
you like spoon because there shiftknob is nice? or there radiator cap is nice?
spoon makes quality ****.. but i bet most of you havent even tried out
the parts that make them special...Motor, suspension (aint that great)
most of you probably have the knockoff wheels..(no offense to people with the real)... or there major engine components..ie stroker, balanced pistons (aint special)....i am just curious what its based upon?
if its loooks... then definitely spoon...

ive had a spoon crate motor, spoon ecu, spoon vtec controller.
i have vision mirrors but they arent spoon so it doesnt count.
vision mirrors offer no vision. they suck. i dont care if its jdm it sucks.
none of the best in my opinion.

This might be an unfair generalization but since everyone's into the "race" look, then Spoon wins out all the time. Spoon is a little more serious when it comes to performance (CF everything, strokers, crate motors, etc.) But Mugen hardly touches the engine; mostly aero, cosmetic, safety, suspension, exhaust, nothing too wild (S2000 excluded!). Mugen is Honda's in-house tuning firm and Spoon is Honda's closest tuner (aren't some Spoon parts made by Honda?), so take your pick. I haven't had any experience with Spoon, but I'm happy with my Mugen parts because I'm not after all-out performance.
wow these are great replies, i basically asked this because i am afraid i will spend all that money for spoon stuff and find out that it wasnt worth the money, i recently bought a 97 integra ls, with no motor, tranny, ecu, stripped inside and front bumper taken for a great price and making it into a jdm spec type r with the front jdm bumper, but i wanted to invest in spoon products and you guys have helped a lot thanks.

its only for their own race cars.
strange... i like spoon and all... but if they were all into racing.. how come they never built one of these bad boys?
i didn't choose one over the other, i bought them both
but i gotta disagree with one thing with him... my car never sleeps.
btw. i have a jdm s2000 key if you want. i also have an S2000 for sale also if you want.
