Default 5th gen tru short shifter ever possible?

Does N E BODY have word, a clue, hear a rumor, or kno anything about whether a tru short shifter will ever be in production? Cuz I jus went thru my 2nd adapter!

All I know is that someone from around here said it'll be hard to make one for the 5th gen cuz its like built in to the plastic base plate and how the best short shifter would be to take the 4th gen baseplate and shift assembly and puttin that into the 5th gen then getting the 4bidden short shifter.

The 5gen assembly is one huge chunk. The "base plate" is a large molded plastic piece and the shifter is held down into this in a way that makes it non-removeable.

cut it, then weld a bolt to it and make it the hight you want...
