Bought 00 GSR clean but busted motor!!!
On ebay for about 7 G but there was some water damage to the engine. Previous owner says piston 1 is hitting the wall ...If you start the engine up it makes this horrible horrible knocking sound.
engine only has 50k miles! is it worth tearing apart and fixing? Buddy said if one thing goes wrong everything goes wrong so it would cost more to fix it in the end.
So he suggests a new motor (jdm perhaps?
)
what would be needed for an engine swap? Saw a motor on ebay b18c1 for 2G just engine..would I also need harnesses, motor mounts or anything?

if everything else is in good condition, thats not a bad deal, you could easily swap in a new b18c in there for under $2500. i would be careful if you buy an engine from ebay, check out hmotorsonline.com or passwordjdm.com for reliable engines.
I just thought of this ...wouldnt there be a problem if I buy an old motor and put it into this 2000 Integra...lotta b18c1 motors im seeing on hmotorsonline r pretty old...
Thought it was illegal to put older motors into a newer car...

In maryland man they really wont care. With my old car i swapped in an older b16 into my car (00 civic fourdoor) and no one would ever think to even look at the etchings on the motor. Just get the damn thing and put it in there. Our state is not not as bad as california.
now what specific parts would I need to look out for when choosing a replacement engine.

I'm looking at these two. Do I really need to shell out another $250 to get the complete change over option?
edit:
I should of read closer
seems like complete changeover comes with three extra things
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts
And so far I am clueless on if I need these items...I'm also trying to decide if I should get the c5
