cut spring ?

cut springs ?

if i cut my springs on my crx, will the struts blow out , if so, how long will they last

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! You'll alter the natural frequency of the spring and your car will start bouncing like the energizer bunny! Plus you'll blow your shocks if you start drinving it a bit hard. Never cut your springs!

Don't do it. lowering springs are so cheap right now. I had cut springs in the beginning and it really sucked. Took out the shocks in about a month and it was really bouncy. Not to mention grounding out over any little bump... Spend the cash and get some springs you won't regret it...

listen to these guys. I have cut springs right now(I bought the car like that, I'm saving for my ground controls and tokicos) and it is very bounce. It sucks. I come close to hitting my head on the roof every time I hit a bump, and I am not a tall man.
