Does anyone here have a 2005 RSX yet?

What color? Options? Type-S?

please let me know your initial feelings about the car! Thanks.

Old Honda Tech joke. For a while, the moderators got so tired of it, it was an offence.

all i know is they squeezed 10 more hp out of the rsx-s now and its up to 210 so the stickers say and the lousy sales people. Not sure what they did though.

They put a bigger throttle body(70mm) and a bigger diameter exhaust along with ITR cams. Oh, and a better final drive with a red line of 8500. Pulls hard up to 8400 and drops off though. Better suspension, a spec I believe. That's what 300 more dollars gets you, stock anyway. Just wait til hondata is able to break in to the ecu. 9000+ red line here we come! this car takes better to mods as well. I'll put it this way. Hondata put up their 04 S to an 05 and the 04 had a an equal red line. They both had CAI and the 05 was up ten hp at the wheels. The 05 was at like 192 or something. All in all I give Honda for the improvements mechanically anyway. As for the head/tail lights, not sue If I'm all about it. Oh well, just swap the head lights and front bumper along with the tail lights and rear bumper and problem solved

You're right...ten horsepower is very little of what the story really is.

Car's a lot more pleasant than just 10 hp would indicate.

the guys from vtec.net dynoed there car at 179 and i've read somewhere else someone dynoe'd there car at 182. which leads me to believe the increase of 10 hp is underrated a little. the peak hp dyno numbers are nice know "stuff" but not really important. the torque curve is more important. although peak torque increased only 1 ft/lb the overall torque is much improved. torque values are much higher than the previous models at low and midrange rpms and the torque doesn't fall off at high rpms. with type-r final drive gearing and the improved torque curve, my guess is that the car is moderately quicker, maybe 0.4 seconds down the quarter.

superchargers and turbochargers increase torque appreciably but i'm assuming here you are talking about N/A bolt-ons...since "breathing" on the 2005's is also much improved, bolt-ons will enhance performance but not yield as much as previous models because the 2005 starting platform is already better. the standard" bolt-on's such as a CAI, race header or high-flow cat, and exhaust are the typical performance enhancers.

i dont really like the way the new rsx looks. the body is stll the same its just the head and tail lights that ruine it for me. to me it looks to much like a civic now.

wait until it becomes as common as a cavalier,

i also liked the earlier models styling.

the current headlights/tails look way too similiar to the prototype sketches, where people compared it to spidermans car.
