New Radiator leaking again
I bought a radiator from radiatorbarn.com, installed it and a day later it starts leaking at the top right corner. I called them and they shipped me a new one. Installed that one and it leaks from the same spot! I burped the radiator so that shouldn't be the problem. It's making me mad! I'll give them a call them on monday and see whats up. Could anything else be causing the leaks? I'm thinking since its from the same spot that maybe they had a bad batch or something. Next install i'm going to be putting in a new thermostat and hoses.
I'm thinking the same thing, perhaps a bad batch from the manufacturer. When you call them, you can simply ask them if they've had any complaints similar to yours. Good luck.
thats weird, im having the same problem, im getting a small leak from the top right or mine to, im going to replace mine this week, ill let you know if it leaks again.

Did you get the radiator with the plastic endtanks?

Um yes it will. A blown HG will cause the head to lift and build pressure (which will blow out your endtanks). Why didnt you get the all metal radiator it is only $20 more? Did you ever notice the coolant spill over into the overflow tank? Did you replace the radiator cap? I had the same exact problem that you are talking about and my mechanic swore up and down that the HG needed to be replaced. A faulty radiator (that he sold me) cap ended up being the culprit of all of my problems (this guy also told me that he replaced the cap whenever he changed the radiator; I am very skeptical of this also
). I'd try to replace the cap, the thermostat, and the hoses when you replace the radiator. The cap is the 1st thing that I would suspect

if you have a blown gasket check the oil cap
it will have a white gooey build up on it.
did you change the radiator cap also?
dont forget that the stant cap is 20lbs (correct me if wrong)
dont forget OEM cap is rated at 12lbs.
if it is 20lbs just clipp away 1 turn on the spring and that will solve your problem.

ehh I've heard very bad stories of corrosion with those cheap all metal radiators.
I've been running a CSF replacement radiator w/ plastic end tanks for 20K miles now, no problems.

are your radiator hose looking like its about to explode when you car is warmed up?
looks like a ball park hotdog when its hot?
then something wrong when your cap.
-----------------------------
You should get an all aluminum (oem style) radiator.
all edges are welded shut. (oem has some type of clamp holding the plactic top part in place).
I'll sell you one for $185
all black aluminum single core radiator.
forgot what brand. but its all aluminum.

I've been using the Metal radiator for about 2 weeks now and it feels good not to fill the coolant everytime I go out for a drive. Is there anything you can do to prevent this?
My faulty radiator cap killed about three of those plastic CSF replacements

had my all aluminum radiator for 2 years. nothing wrong with it, still glossy black.
i wouldnt call all aluminum cheap. 90% of the stock radiator is alum.
the plastic top peice is there for a reason. to come apart after soo many miles.

Glad to see you got things sorted out. Radiator Barn definitely has good CS and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
