Well, I ran the R last night at the track and well the times are really shitty...
first off... we noticed that the caR has too much timming like ..wayyyyyyyyyyyy to much by looking at the distributer....
my reaction time is 1.4
my 60' is 2.486
my 1/4 is 15.4
mph is 91.3
Its been a while since ive raced at a drag way .... a long while ... i think my horrible street racing skillz combined with too much timming has affected the caR lol
if i run it agian and get better times i will post the good news....
by the way TOO MUCH TIMMING IS BAD FOR YOUR CAR.
OPIE PLEASE FLAME ME I DESERVE IT

Who gives a shiot........Rob is right, did you have is all that matters! I dont think of ITR's as drags caRs to begin with personally. Straight lines own U....take it to the twisties
.
Jon, who has never dragged his caR, nor sees himself draggin in the future.

It's all about having fun, and getting schooled by another type R...your r/t isn't to bad your reaction beat me foo'...I try and feather my launches, my shift into second is usually some partial feather/powershift to try and save some traction loss, then the rest of the way is all powershifting.
Drag racing doesn't require as much skill as auto-x, however it still does require skill, and skill takes practice. It is also a nice way to compare who's car is faster!

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET's, the clock doesn't start running until you have reacted. Track condition can have a lot to do with ETs. The first time I had the R at the strip(a shitty track), I ran 15.2-15.4, on stock tire pressure and 102 degrees outside temp. Two weeks later I ran 14.7-14.9 at a good track, at night, running around 20 psi's in the front tires. My reaction times were never over .8, but I had just got a new clutch that I was babying, so all my shifts sucked. Traps were around 92-95 avg, which should've yeilded better Ets with better shifting. Yeah 15.4's suck, but don't listen to the haters that think granny could beat cha, cause there is a lot that goes into a good ET. BTW Im a horrible drag strip driver, but I went against two other Rs, a 97 whos Et was .05 seconds faster, and a 2000 whos ET was slowerrrrrrrrrrr, And I smoked a POS civic SI.
sounds like your really insecure with your cars performance. if 1/4 is your judge of it, i think you bought the wrong car.
yea considering my slow *** took him by .4 is telling. being his first time on the track with this car and not ran in a while, its to be expected. we are going to clean up a couple details under the hood and see what he gets next time. 14.7-8 at bithlo for our cars unfortunately is about par. traction that night was really bad, everyone experienced this. I usually pull 2.2s consistently even on bald tires, last night I did everything the same and pulled 2.4+s consistently and ended up with 94-95mph on my runs resulting in a 15.02-5
my mile per hour tells me I should be 14.3-5 in my DC2. best I ever saw at bithlo was in mid nov sometime at 14.68 forget the mph, I think 93-94ish.
we had fun tho
no ticket!

How do you count the total time of 1/4? Is it reaction time + time form start to the finish? Or is it only the start -> finish time without the eraction time?
