Default XEON Headlight bulbs

Guys,
I just got a 04 accord which i love it.I am intrested to replace my regular hologen bulbs to xeon BULBS similiar to Audi/BMW.After some reasearch i found PIAA bulbs have some good reputation maybe life time warranty.I need some help to choose the right bulb.I am looking for bulb with PURPLE TINT same as audi/bmw.According to PIAA the model 9005/9006 will be good for my accord but it doesn't have a Purple tint.
Any recommendations which bulb/manufaturer should i use?.
Thank your in advance
mustafa

You want some Sylvania silverstars. You'll be happy with them. They're the brightest legal halogens. They give off a great pure white. Otherwise if you just want the color and shitty performance, just go on eBay.

arghhh....
Get HIDs.... that is what Audi/BMW have. a conversion kit will run you anywhere from 300 to 500. Look for warranty thoug,, most of them don't carry it. and read the install directions. I gaurantee you that will be the most sound investment you make... forget about changing the bulb coz you will most likely not have to for ages.. and the light is really really different. concider this a good bulb pair will cost you 50 to 60.. and cool blue or sylviana silverstar do NOT make a difference they are the same no light difference.. but HIDs are HIDs...

try ebay... and another thing just get 9006 pearl white (that purple tint you were talking about) and get low beam 9006 only coz you won't need highbeam...

agreed...there is no substitute for real HID's...the light output is amazing and i hate riding around with buddies in cars without HID's now that i'm used to driving with such great amounts of light...

if you do end up going with HID's, don't cheap out...phillips kits are the best imo...

theyre right. All the other ones are just lightbulbs tinted blue so you think youre cool. And it's dangerous because it confuses other people and you dont get enough light output because only light in the blue area of the spectrum is emitted. Get real HIDs or just skimp like i did and get Silverstars for 25 bucks shipped on eBay.

This might be a dumb question but is there a big difference between HIDs and projectors? If so what?

HID's are a type of bulb and Projectors are a type of housing that focuses light. I have a retrofit of acura hid bulbs into my stock housings and it is well worth the work. I will eventually retrofit some projectors but I don't have the cash right now.

P.S. There are no dumb questions. Searching is also a key thing to do well here.

Projectors are the headlight housing made for HID's. Normally retrofitting HID's into stock headlights will cause glare to other drivers. Projectors will minimize that glare by directing the light to a specific area. Some states may care more than others, so just watch out for cops and don't drive behind them if you have HID's in stock headlights. I doubt they can tell unless you blind them from behind.

I tried getting cheap blubs online , They were real purple but lacked output. I did find I think a nice median between HID's and Shitty *** blubs. Silverstars are really crappy and you cant really tell them much from stock. They just look white. check out http://www.coolbulbs.com ....I bought the POLARG bulbs and these are from Japan and throw more light then crappy stuff you find threw online stores elsewhere. They are very good bulbs and are a nice median between AWESOME HID light output, and NO output from show bulbs you get online elsewhere.. They look great and are very noticeably differnt from stock and SILVERSTARS! Check them out.....

Definately go with HIDs i would if i had the time and money to do it nothing compares to them ive only driven one that had HIDs but the light was so clear you didnt even need to turn on the high beams
if not silverstars are the brightest lights that ive found those other ones of the internet burn out in about two months

Be carful putting the 80W bulbs in there because they will melt your wiring and possibly your housings. I have a friend that has the Eurolite Xenon Crystal bulbs I think they say HXC if you look for them at car domain and they are really blue and have the color like HID's but if you get them get the LXC as many people have said the HXC's will melt your wiring and housings. Honestly if you get the blue bulbs your are sacrifing a lot of light output and the blue reflects back at you in the rain and you can't see anything. If you get any I would get the super white ones. I don't like the stock ones at all but am not willing to drop $350+ on HID's so I have tried 2 different bulbs. I tried the Eurolite Super Plasma Xenon bulbs and loved them you could see a lot more than the stock ones and they were really white maybe a little blueish purpleish but not much and have been using them in the highbeams for over a year now with no problems(knock on wood) and love them. I did have them in the low beams also but they burnt out in less than 2 months. Well I thought maybe I just got a bad set and they had a year warrenty so I sent them back and the second set burnt out in about the same time period. I put the stock ones back in for about 6 months to a year then decided to try some Farenheit Super White bulbs for my low beams and they look great. Not yellow like the stock ones more white but not really blue but they are a lot better than the stock ones still yet arn't the blue ones that you can't see with. I don't know how long these will last as I have only had them about 2 or 3 weeks.

Here is a link to the Farenheit ones and they just lowered the price like a few days ago

and here is a link to the Eurolites I was using and they also just lowered the price of these although I don't reccomend the low beams at all and would stay away from them I liked the high beams though.
