ok, heres the problem. i have a 91 integra with a 98 b18b1 engine. the engine has a lot of mods to it. p&p head, oversized valves, web racing cams, port matched i.m. and over bored t.b., well you get the idea. my problem is there is a TON of heat coming off the engine/head. its to the point i cant hold my hand on the hood if i've been driving for a while. i dont realy need to be runing it that hard either.
i am using the ngk plugs, 7 heat range. is this normal? my engine temp stays normal, i've got new hoses/thermostat. i just dont want to burn the paint on the hood. please help if you can.

how does the a.f.r. look? maybe get a aluminum replacement? flyidyne, koyo, C&R.. or you could try some heat wrap on the header
(theres a post on it, just posted to it, but.. forgot if its here or in drag racing) also maybe try a hondata intake manifold gasket.. supposed to lower the intake manifold temp..

egr huh? i'll have to look into this. where on the 98 b18b would this be?
i thought it might be that i have a breather filter on the valve cover, but i hooked it up and it made no difference. back to the drawing board.

Next to the muffler bearing. No EGR on 98 B18B.
