Default Should i risk it with my symptoms?

Well the other day on the road i went from 5th gear to 3rd and got misfire

codes (cyl 1 & 2). bought new plug wires and now only there is only misfire on cyl

2. from the first time i got the cel codes, my motor has been shaking real bad. did

a compression test and numers were 235, 230,10,230. Also when the car warms

up motor starts smoking around the header area, and you can smell oil burning.

Im under the impression that my piston/ring is causing my problem so i am gonna

rebuild the motor. im at college right now with no tools and nowhere to work on

the motor so im planning on driving home on three cylinders. My home is three

hours away from college. Do you guys think the piston ring is causing my problem?

also do you guys think i should take the risk to drive it home?

im not really sure how i would kill a valve, i dont really imagine going from 5th to third would put much stress on the valves. I got my head built this past jan/feb with all supertech componants and i replaced the valve seals and guides. The car has been burning about 2-3 qts (since last december) in between oil changes for a while now, and thats when i started to think that my rings were going. Unfortunatly i really dont have that kind of money to rent a hitch for my car. Ive been trying to get a job around here but its kind of a poor area and many businesses dont want to hire college kids.

dont drive it
the motor will only get stressed more. you will get 1h in it and then your car will die.

Being that the cylinder is already pretty much gone, it won't really hurt any worse to run it for a while.

I was thinking about risking it because my cars been like this for two weeks now and i drive it to school, which is a mile or two down the road. Also when i get to 60 mph the motor doesnt seem that bad and you cant feel the vibrations as much as when your idleing. Any more opinons?

just do it...but drive it like a granny, i wouldnt push it above 4k at all...if you get stuck, eh whatever, its not like its not already fucked up...call a tow truck

or if you got money, it'll run you about 100 bucks to rent a uhaul with the car dolly for the day
