Default Clifford Alarm

Wassup guys! I just recently got my R and i'm already getting paranoid about it being stolen. ( Already been followed by some shady looking characters). Anyways i'm looking for a GOOD alarm system, i know it won't make my car invincible to theives, but the time it will give me and the piece of mind is worth it! I've been looking at the Clifford RSX 3.5 but i'm having trouble finding any places to buy it from. Anyone know of any good places to buy it from online or do i need to find a local vendor?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for other alarms i'd like to hear it.

Thanks!

All I have to say is that according to your location, its pretty relative to mine. I couldn't find any Clifford vendors near me, maybe you will be more lucky. I had to settle for less

Where are you located at? I checked cliffords website and Revolution Autosport in Roanoke is a dealer for them. Just seeing if there's any place to order it online. If i can't find one then i guess i'm going to them.

Instead of going out of your way to find a Clifford, you should be looking for a good installer.

Alarms all work the same, unless your looking for a feature that only comes with the Clifford, get what the good installer suggests (As its probably the alarm he knows the best)

It doesn'y always work and most thieves are smart enough to ditch a car for a few hours in order to see if the lojack worked or if the car has it at all.

Sometimes, the car is taken and stripped so quickly it doesn't matter anyway because during the strip the receiver is broken/stomped on whatever.

I have been told by friend (authorized lo-jack installer)that there are only certain areas of the car where the receiver can be placed otherwise it will not work properly. Steal enough cars and you will encounter them all and know where to look first

And the guarantee for most if not all of these tracking systems is that they will refund the the price of the system installation (and sometimes your insurance deductible). But in the end, you are still down the value of your beloved car...
