Default Exactely what is a mini me?

I thought i read somewhere that it was a SOHC mated to DOHC.
I'm trying to explain to my brother in law what it is. I don't know why if i myself don't know.

Thanx,
Rick

opey'scrx was being sarcastic...

I'll make this easy since most others will just tell you to search and give you one of these

It's a SOHC non-VTEC block with a SOHC VTEC head...

No he's not.

84-87 CRX sohc takes a dohc head.

Some of the Suzuki swift owners convert to a dohc head

I'm sure there's more...

There are SOHC and DOHC D-series engines, but their heads are NOT interchangeable. If they were, I would have had a DOHC a long time ago.
Only SOHC heads are interchangeable, and even then only on SOHC D-series blocks.
I just finished collecting parts for my mini-me, and it’s a non-vtec block (d16y7) with a vtec head (d16y8).

I thought Suzuki swifts had a 1.3 DOHC from factory...

Apparently there were several engine variants...I'm no Swift expert tho.
1.3 sohc, 1.6 sohc, 1.6 dohc

If you do a mini-me and leave it obd1 with the PM6.... redline will stay the same at 6800.

If you go obd1 with a p28... redline will be 7200
