I hadn't realized shipping wouldn't be that bad.

If you want it, email me and we can hammer out details.

Nate,

The trans is still available, however, someone in NJ just offered me $450. To answer your question though.. The D15 Quaife is a 35mm unit, whereas the EX unit features 40mm bearings. Being the mainshaft is all DX, we were able to use the EX ring and pinion from a destroyed trans to make a semi-hybrid box.

i know very little about tranny's, u say its a hybrid, does that mean it will fit a z6 or it won't. I don't want a dx tranny, but i do want the quaiffe. please speak in dummy terms. I live in NJ also.

basically what tony did was take a dx tranny and add a quaife and the final drive from a z6 tranny. this will bolt up to any 5th gen d-series motor/chassis, but it will have the long dx gears.

too bad it won't fit my tranny. well, maybe it's a good thing. good luck on the sale, hope to see you at some events next year!

I believe you would be able to swap your z6 gears into this tranny, but wouldn't be able to use this LSD in your tranny.
