Default anyone know a cheap tig welding place in ct?

this is probably a bit odd, but i have a b20 block that, in transit, broke a small piece off of the top of the oil pressure sensor housing. the pices is maybe .75" square, and just needs to be reattached (right now its jbwelded on there.. i know i know) but it leaks. im going to pull the motor anyway, so if anyone can give me an idea where to take this to get it fixed or how much it'll cost would be great. im in the hartford ct area.

TIG welding should cost no less than 85 an hour. That is the rate that you pay skilled technicians to perform skilled work.

Throw it away and get another block. You have effectively ruined that one by using JB Weld. Yes, I'm serious. No welder here on the board (or elsewhere) can weld on top of JB Weld. It MUST BE GROUND COMPLETELY OUT. To do this will throw shavings of it and the aluminum into the block...and you likely know what that will cause. I would call it a bad idea to bother reinstalling an engine that has metal shavings thrown into it.

I had a local guy with a similar problem, just a different location on the block, bring his car to me for repair. I wound up telling him to sell the car or pull the engine and swap blocks.

the jb weld is all on the bung, it will be very easy to plug the bung so nothing gets in the motor. its not on the blocks wall, its the top of the bung that sticks out. thanks for the concern though.

prostock, the motor is still sitting in the car, but if you can give me some contact info id like to get in touch with you. my email is mghallarin@yahoo.com . ditto dk fabrications, send me an email plz.
