Default Exhaust System

Hey guys,
here i am in the starting phase of my research on what i can do with my car.
I have a 93 accord the coupe ex. love the way it looks but i need it to be fast (don't we all).

i want to start by change the exhaust system, i can see a lot of available option but how do i decide what i want?
basically my question what am i looking for? Or where can i find info that would tell me what portion does what?

Also want to change engine to H22A prelude.. what affect does the car have after it?

Thanks in advance.

do LOTS of research. there is a question about an h22 accord on this forum every day without fail. everything ive heard is positive and i would say that you should go with that. when getting an exhaust system if youre planning to do the h22 swap, i would get an exhaust that will work well with the h22 so that you dont feel the need to buy another one once you swap.

Like he said, spend plenty of time researching before you jump into ANYTHING!!! What you refered to as "changing engines" is refered to here as a swap. I'm letting you slide this time but if you keep calling it that, you'll get flamed by somebody. As far as putting the H22A into the Accord... It's the best swap you can possibly do. Once again, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!

Swapping the H22 into you car should be a huge difference considering that it has 60 more horsepower than the f22a6 that is currently in your car now. but the swap is pretty pricey ive never really looked into it but ive heard engine and tranny is around 2500. but i would do as much research as possible and if you do the swap i could really use the IM and ECU from the engine you have now I just swapped the a6 into my 90 dx that had the a1 in it and those are different and would make more power for me

h22 is the way to go for horse if u have the cash. if u dont have alot of money u could always get the jdm f22b1 which is what i have in my car. it has 160hp and 148 tor stock and then run for like 750 and it should bolt right up. an h22 u need tranny and ecu and motor i belive. plus with the f22b1 jdm all your f22a parts will work and bolt right up. and the f22b1 motor is a beast for boost or nitrous i hear it works very well.

Dude screw $2,500 for engine and tranny, just go to the junkyard and get it. My junkyard charges $75 for a full engine w/manifolds pumps alternator etc, and $100 for a manual tranny. Take it home and drop it in. Nice and cheap.

Yeah, but where's the warranty on it? If I were going to take the time and effort to swap the motor and do all that I would like to have some reassurance the motor will last.
