Engine swap for a 1995 Accord
Im looking to get an engine swap on my accord, i want something with around 200HP. does anybody work at a shop that does these mods or have had success at a shop? i need a rough estimate on money. thanks.

well a h22 is going to run you 2500 - 3000. im sure most shops have different rates so it'll be hard to get an exact estimate, but if it were me i would try to have 4 - 5k laying around. i doubt it would cost 5k, but you never know what could go wrong. make sure you buy a motor from a reputable dealer so as not to have to replace parts once you realize its crap. hope this helps somewhat =/,

you could go h22 or f20b and get around 200hp. F20b would be more expensive but its a more direct swap. If you looked around you could find a h22 and tranny in fair condition for less than 2500. I would put money aside to replace some things while the engine is out. Good luck.

if money is an issue you can use the f tranny, get the h22a longblock for about 1500. youre in luck your car is obd1. get a p13, a nice h22 tranny, and a 50 shot of nitrous, that would be the titeness. if you can do the swap yourself you can save the dough...if not some shops will do it for 300-700 bucks, depending where you go
