Default Snell M2000 DOT helmets in bulk

The Texas A&M Sports Car Club needs a new set of loaner helmets! Do you guys know of any stores that may sell a bunch of cheap, Snell M2000 and DOT approved helmets in bulk ? We do not mind if they are Orange or Hot Pink, or if they are open faced

Shouldn't you be looking for SA2000 rated helmets?

I'm sorry, I'm having trouble finding the $118 special on that site. Is that $118 per helmet?

Oh, ok. $118/helmet is way too much. Lowest I've found so far is $58 for an HJC CS-5 open-face. When I wake up tomorrow I'm sure I'll find a few cheaper ones...

Try http://www.accwhse.com/. I've bought stuff from them in the past. They often have "clearance" sales on end of line stuff. They also advertise in most major motorcycle mags.

Yeah, and add a red stripe across the top and you have Michael Andretti's helmet.

Here's one:

http://www.tonker.com/shopsite....html

*hint* *hint* Friend of mine just called them up, and the manager offered us a much lower price for the CS-5, as long as we buy a minimum of 15...

Anyways, do you think we should hold out for the 2005s too? We're going to be buying 15-20 of these helmets, and would hate to have to throw them out too early...

How long do you think we can go with M2000?

M2000 good until 2010. The 2005 helmets will not be available until around October 2005.

Ok, I called both Kraig at Racer Communications, and accwhse.com, and so far the best offer we have is $35/piece for the HJC CS-5 from tonker.com (as long as we purchase at least 15, which we will).

http://www.tonker.com/shopsite....html

The offer ends for us this afternoon, so anyone know of any other stores we call? As long as the treasurer of our club is OK with the fact that these helmets will "expire" 6 years from now, all is good...

Not for long though. Pyrotect discontinued that helmet (the one with the flag paint scheme). So once those are clearanced, that'll be the last of them. Here's their new graphics model: http://www.soloracer.com/pyrotectflame.html

LX4CYL: Not sure you'll beat that $35 price on the HJC helmet. That is cheap, and isn't much more than their actual cost! Its not much of a helmet, but for $35 it's Solo II legal and you probably can't go wrong for a loaner helmet.

I'd guess that all these helmets will be lost, stolen or so funkificated that noone will be able to stand them long before they "expire"

btw, i started out with that same model hjc and it got me thru my ax and hpde years just fine.
