Default Ls rex faster then mini me rex?

well i ran my car at the strip and i had problems with gripping so bad launches but i had a pretty decent one but still ran a 15.54. My friend has the same set-up cept his is a dx and stripped of all rear interior and has traction bars on it and i have an Si but we're both stock just I/h/e. he runs a 14.7 but now on the street i can run fine with him he might pull a tiny bit like my bumper at his rear at top end but other then that were fine. So my ? is im strating to wonder well a stock crx si runs about 16.3 now a mini me D16 vtec is suppose to move pretty good so i wonder if it could run with me? am i just shitting that bad on the start at the track? I mean i know i have wheel spin but on the stret i get great traction im running Kuhmo brandnew and traction AA...my reaction time is fast is .09 so i dont know...

Well i just recently went to a EF meet, and saw a few mini me's in action. Let just tell u that they shocked the hell out of me.

I heard one guy talking about how he could hang with stock GSR's..

my 60 ft times were 2.3 to 2.6..i know 2.0 is pretty good...my latest reaction time i think was .200 so can see what you mean though cause if i was running 2.0 60's then i would probably drop that .3 sec off the 1/4 and if i had a good reaction time like my first 2 (.090) then i would probably be running around real high 14'2 correct? im running rota 15 in subzero they weight 11.9 each with 205 50's kuhmo traction AA...i think i need work on my 60's i didnt even think of that...im not dumping the clutch and im not at a high RPM when i launch maybe 3k at most! oh i ran a 15.5 by the way....15.5 2 times and a 15.6 ,2 times

R.T. has nothing to do with your E.T. work on your 60ft. times and you'll be set

Yea i have the S1 tranny. MAybe thats about right then. My friend with his ls rex talked to his buddy and his buddy said thats really unusual for a ls rex to be doing 14.7 with just intake and exhaust plus little interrior out. He said he must have a gifted motor which i guess could be true. Its just all weird because a gsr stock can run 15.3 stock and i race gsr's all the time on the street and i have a passenger and beat um...my friend has one with head work clutch full exhaust intake and fron a roll! i still take time to 4th. I race my friend in his 92-95 civic hatch with a GSR and i can tear his *** up till 4th when he finally starts to catch back up and pass me slowly. I'll work on my 60's and see what i can do thanks guys

Launch has EVERYTHING to do with how fast you run. For this reason, it is always better to use trap speed (and not ETs) to compare the abilities of two different motors. For instance, some D-series motors can run fast. But most of these do so because of good launching (or a suspension setup that makes for good launches) rather than raw power. This is manifested by their lower trap speed compared to many B-series swaps running the same ET (or conversly, lower ET than B-series setups running the same trap speed). So although someone else with a mini-me may run faster than you do, it is quite likely that if you had that exact same motor in your car, you would actually run slower. Alot of people simply don't realize this and use ET as their sole gauge of an engine's performance.
