H23A won't start!!!!
Hey,
Well I was driving my car to my friends and turned off the car. Well when i tried to start the car guess what it didnt. We tried everything possible. For some examples, jump start, push start, pounded the starter thing for some sparks, but still no response. I was thinking that it is the starter but not sure. We checked all the fuses and also battery and ground wires. If anyone could help me with this problem it would help me out alot. THX!!

Check the little spade connector to make sure it is connected to the starter. They have been known to fall off. If it is on there, pull it off and put it back on, that might free up some corrosion to let it fire up. Also try directly applying a power and ground from the battery momentarily to see if it engages (use heavy guage wire) If it still doesn't work, then it is not a control issue, it is the starter. If it does work, you know have a problem with a control device such as your relays or cables or connections.

so the car was running fine, turn it off and it wont fire back up ? Does it usally fire about 5-10 mins later???
Id advise to check that main relay. They like to go in 4th gen ludes. At the very least pull the thing out and check the solder points.

Well, I tried to start it like an hour later, but still no reponse. I have not checked the solder point on the relay so i will do that. Thx for the help guys, get back to this soon.
what sound did it make when you tried to push start it. if you heard a bunch of clicking your timing belt snapped and you just fucked your head and possibly your piston rings

Well, I don't think that the timing belt has broke. But think I have found the problem. So far I think its the starter for the clicking is coming from it. So I guess I have to get a new one. If any of you know where to get a cheap starter for a 94 prelude is plz refer me to the site. Thx for the help.
Alright,
Im back now.... Its been about 2 weeks and I have ordered a new starter for my 94 lude. Now there is another problem that has occured. K, we replaced the starter and made sure all the things are connected and was tight. Well, when we started the car.........CLANK CLANK CLANK...... What the hell is it.
The engine sounds as if its gonna blow because the clanking sound is really bad. It was not this bad before, lets see about 2 weeks ago i was driving and did not have this loud clanking from the engine. I don't know what it is but if anyone could help me out it would be appreciated.

does the engine sound like it's cranking, or just making the "clanking" sound.
maybe your battery terminals need cleaning or to be tightened.
check your grounds, check to see if you're getting spark.
if worse come to worse, pull your plugs out and crank the engine
by hand and listen for anything funny.
hope this helps

Well,
I just figured out something today while driving the car. While driving the car (also sounds still going, I think its the pistons because it sounds like its coming from there) I have to keep the gas going or the car will die on me. I have no idea why this happens. If I don't press the gas in time the car dies all by itself. I just put a new battery in there also so i know its not the battery.
PLZ HELP!!! Thx.

Is your starter working OK? I had same problem with my H23A Accord last week. It just died while driving and didn't start. I just don't know the english word for this little part which most likely is the reason why your car doesn't start.
I try to explain this part
. It's in that "box" left from the engine, where spark wires go. Open that box and remove that spinning part and then you will see this little part with two wires connections, it's attached with two screws. I chanced that part and now car works like new.
I don't have any idea if you have same part numbers as we have here in finland, but the part number in here is 352-470214. This part is part of ignition system.

Well,
I just replaced the starter with a new one so i don't think its that and the battery is new so its not that. I dont know what else it could be except something in my head. My bro thinks it something wrong with the pistons so im gonna check it out later. If its the pistons eating my head then im screwed. Oh well. Thx for the tips guys keep them coming.
