I have a BLACK '94 Del Sol S, 5 spd with 128,9xx miles on it. Its in poor condition. I've been hit 4 or 5 times but I'm looking to get another car and get rid of this one for cheap. Both front fenders are busted up. Back bumper got hit into and would need to have a spot filled and probably repainted to be in like new condition. passenger side door dented. The left rear wheel well is rusted through badly.

Still drives, still drive it everyday. The tranny whirls most likely because of a pilot/throwout bearing *(it has no grinds and runs fine but it whirls)*, could use an alignment, and has a rust problem.

I prefer not to, but if you give me 1100 + the shipping charges and you arrange for shipping, and no one takes it off my hands I suppose it could be done

 

What synchros are bad in it?

 

I'm not quite sure. I'm not a mechanic by any means.

All i know is the tranny makes a whirling noise, but has absolutely zero grinds. shifts smoothly and you wouldn't even know...its just noisey.

it has a new clutch in the car, i dont know if i mentioned that. the clutch has less than 10k on it i believe.

 

I've heard from numerous people that it could actually be a pilot bearing and not a synchro, since the tranny runs smoothly and no grinds I would probably assume thats a better guess.

 

I'm in Northern Jersey.

$1,100 cash isn't a lot, especially when it could be parted out for more. I won't take lower than a grand, I just need the money fast.
