what would cause a 3k rpm ?

Default what would cause a 3k rpm ?

so far ive checked coolant.. i let it run without the cap on to release as much airpockets

the IACV has recently been changed from the dealer

i reseted the ecu

swaped map sensor still the same .. any more clues?

huh? What exactly is wrong? What car/motor? Thats to vague for anything.

its a 91 LS .. its not in limp mode cuz i resetted the ecu already.. even th it didnt have a check engine light on


i heard the a bad fitv could have the sam esymtoms.. but as high as 3k rpm? idle
?

Im thinking a 3k idle?

If so look at your throttle cable and make sure its not stuck, also look at the throttle body and make sure nothing is in it.

ya a vacuum leak woudl bounce... but this is steady starting at 3k rpm and rises little by little.. so i dont even want to warm it up fully not knowing how high it will idle lOL
