Someone needs to import these...DC5R Muffler
Would be a good upgrade for those folks wanting better flow and little noise--although it may just be a Type S muffler with a different tip.
Or, someone may already have a ton of these in the states.
Rest of the pics of the new DC5R here, in case you have not seen them.

I have a real catback for DC5 R . Sounds great. I also have JDM headers. the headers flow alot better and makes the real difference in the exhuast tone.
i could not find a better pic, but i think it is the same as the 05 type s...

Unless you're hardcore JDM Honda, I don't see why. They're a lot of great "street performance" cat backs like Tanabe Hyper, Greddy SP2, Apex'i WS. The new '05 TypeS exhaust looks like the TypeR but I don't think it has that bypass valve.

I thought it just depended on how many heads the engine had. V6 etc with two heads therefore has two exhaust assemblies resulting in a plural term. A racing engine like a 4cyl Offenhauser with only one head and four straight exhaust pipes without a collector but attached to one flange would be singular; header. Sorry, I'm sounding so ****, damn, too much beer tonight.

well since I have a JDM header it sounds pretty sweet. no ricer sound at all. it has a low tone grumble. I used to have a mugen TL and now I went to Type R. I have sounds clips of the mugen one but not the DC5 R catback yet. I will have some sooner or later though.

I don't know if the Type S is the same as people are saying, but I measured an ITR muffler off the car (DC5R) the other day and the inlet pipe was 2.25" and the cannister was about 17" D x 11.5" W x 8" H.
So is the type S the same ? And is the muffler chambered ?
