clutch, back brakes, tires, and header all at once.....double check my list to make sure i got all i
Well my pos is in dire need for a lil bit of T.L.C. Over my long weekend of fall break I plan to do a few things to it and I want to make sure I have everything I need, so I can get it all done quick and as hassle free as possible.
Things I'm doing: clutch kit, back drum brakes, tire change, and header install.
1) Clutch: exedy stage two or whatever will do the trick. I wonder about my flywheel though. What should I look for, or could I tell right now if it's going to need resurfacing or replacement beforehand? I hope it ain't cracked, but if so a 90-91 teg will fit the bill right?
2) back drummies: shoes are worn down, didn't see anything leakin, but i've never worked on drums before, but will have a mechanic workin with me to get it all done.
3)tires.....duhhhm what are tires? will know whats goin on there
4)header, should be a breeze. Gasket question though. I hope my hasport header will come with one, which it prolly does.
I just would like for someone who's extremely bored to take a look at my list and see if there's something I should look out for, since school is almost 4 hours away from home- and i'm not really leaving a margin of error here.
We're usin a lift and air tools btw. Hope to do it all in two days, or maybe one.

I'm assuming the motor in question is a B16 due to your reference of the Hasport Header, so I'll see what I can point out.
1) I don't believe your header will come with a new gasket, but you can reuse the old one if it is in good condition. The old gasket is copper and should be resuable unless you break it during removal.
2)Tires, Georgia....student = budget all season? Look into Falken ZIEX 512's. Great handling, never fail, nice price. They get the Central Florida Weather Seal of Approval.
3) When inspecting your flywheel, look for cracks. That is the only sign I know of, I have never really done much drivetrain work.
Hopefully that helped you out a bit.

regarding the flywheel. mostly look for discoloration from heat spots. you'll see blurry spots if it has 'em. resurfacing is cheap insurance if in doubt.
