Cylinder Head Assembly Question?
I got another quick question for you guys?
When reassembling a B16a head, does it matter where the cam holders go, since they both are identical. I marked them when I pulled it apart but I guess the marker I used was crap b/c I can't see the marks anymore. I know where all the cam bearing caps go and I know those have to go back in the same place.
The two cam holders look identical though and I just wanted to know if it matters where they go. I don't see any markings on them and I looked them up and they are the same part number.
Thanks for the help once again H-T.
(btw I did search

Starting from left to right, it should read 4,3,2. Make sure the arrows point towards the crank pulley.

Yeah I know that. I'm talking about the cam holders on a DOHC. They look like 2 long strips that bolt down over the cam caps. It's the last pieces you install when assembling the head.

theres only one way they can go in.... the 10mm bolts need to be on the crank pulley side... with the valve cover studs facing into each other.. just remember.....20ft/lbs on the 12mm bolts and 7.2ft/lbs on the 10 mm bolts.
