Default new itr owner needs some help with hoods

Hey guys,

After having my itr for about 2 weeks, I hit a deer. Most of the damage was to the hood, and it looks like I'm going to have to replace it. I'm thinking about replacing the hood with something lighter than OEM. What's a good replacement hood? Where do I get it? How much should I expect to spend?

Thanks!

Seibon carbon fiber hood = hottness. They're around $450.00 + shipping.

Most CF hoods are lighter then the stock, but watch out for the fit, I have seen a few that looked like chit, the sides had too much gap and some did not even have a place to put the rubber strip and that makes the hood look like its too short.

I think the avg price is 400 + shipping, search around in the classifieds to get an idea of whats what then go from there. If you can attend a car show I'm sure you will be able to see many Hondas/Acuras with CF hoods. Get an idea what they look like before you buy, I have not seen one that I would put on my car yet...

I wasn't going that fast. I knocked the deer's legs out from underneath him, and he came down on the front part of my hood. Somehow my radiator also got some hairline cracks.

Also, I hit a deer 2 years ago when I had my 89 M3. I never hit deers when I'm driving my wife's crappy car.
