Default integra LS AUTO

hey, i have a 2001 LS auto. It is the best LOOKING integra stock that i have seen because of the condition. If it was manual i would be fine with the same amount of power that is has but the auto is just lame. I wanted to sell it and get an older gsr or type r, but looking online, all the gsrs are way over priced. is the value of integras going up since they stopped making them? ive seen gsrs for like 14k when the blue book value is more like 11k.
since getting another car may not be an option, what could i do to my car to give it some more power, does intake make that much of a differece, and with an intake, do i have to worry too much about water going into is if i go through a puddle?
and one last thing: My current intake has a box around the head (ice box?) if i get a cold air intake would i put that onto it? Doesnt the box help keep water out and keep the air a little bit cooler?
thanks... sorry for the noob questions i know nothing.

LOL
1. your intake has a box around it its probley stock
2. adding intake = noting
3. options do a auto to 5sp conversion around $1500
4. use "Search"

I've done auto to manual conversions and they're not really difficult. I've seen situations where they've been done for well under $1000. Most of the parts can be had from junkyard EG Civics and for dirt cheap. A used clutch and flywheel won't be particularly expensive, and a manual ECU for an LS should also be readily available. The only premium parts you'll actually be purchasing are the tranny, the Place Racing conversion mount, and the shift linkage.

thanks for your help, but i dont think i would do the auto to manual conversion , id rather just buy a 5 spd. I dont know much at all about engines, and different car parts so i dont want to mess with that stuff until i do. i think i would be better off just buying a different car. My problem is that all the integra's are selling for WAY more than the blue book value. I have mine on auto trader trying to sell it but i dont think its getting much publicity. Any ideas to market it?
Are there any other comparable cars that are as reliable as the integra that i could buy from 8k to 12k? Celicas?
