Another ITR gone .. Occupants hurt bad ..
I just read about this on a local forum in Puerto Rico.. These guys had a "few" drinks on them when they ran a burnout and the cops went after them. As it seems, one of the front tires blew, the guy lost control at about 90mph, and the rest is history.. The driver is going to loose both of his legs, the front passenger is in coma, and the rear passenger has a dislocated jaw. This is very sad and I my prayers go out to the guys who were involved in this accident and their families. Just goes to show once more that alcohol and driving don't mix .. Also, when the cops nab you for fooling around in public, stop and take the heat .. don't try and play runaway ITR .. I'm sure this guy would have preferred dealing with the cops for a traffic violation rather than end up with both his legs gone.

AMEN !!
AMEN !!
Wow, prayers to the individuals. A drunk driver almost killed my family once...definately not the smartest thing to do. Same with running from the cops!!

Really makes you think twice about driving fast...all it takes is for one object in the road to pop one tire and your history. Thats what scares me about some of the people that do their top speed runs...one little mistake even if its not your fault and the consequence is severe at those speeds.
Keep it safe guys.
Keep it safe guys.

it sucks they have to pay so dearly for their wrecklessness. hope the passengers are ok, and the driver, well.. he won't ever forget this.
Right don't get me wrong but.....
Why do your prayers go out to the driver and his passengers?? HE WAS DRINK DRIVING!! Maybe it'll put a message out to all the idiots that still do it, then again maybe not.
I have no time for these people who drink and drive, yeah I feel A BIT sorry for the passengers, but they have a mouth, they could have said no to getting a lift home from a drink/drunk driver.
I'm just glad no innocent was involved in such a horrendous incident.
I've got my flame suit on and am waiting, but this is how I feel.

Hey Mr Ben.. I too have very aggressive feelings towards the jerks who hop behind the wheel of a car knowing that they're dead-drunk .. However, at this point, it seems that the guy payed dearly for his mistake which is why we "feel" for him .. And yes, the passengers should have spoken up but obviously, they didn't ..
I guess the point of this thread is not merely to sympathize with the affected parties but rather to create a conciousness as to what should and should not be done on a public road behind the wheel of your car and what can happen.

I was reactimg the replys to the thread not the thread itself.
We in the UK don't use the term DUI, we call it either drink driving or drunk driving depending on the tense of the sentence!!
Glad to know that there are still some sensible people around

Wow talk about paying for your mistakes. I have never sympathized for drunk drivers because I have lost many love ones to them. But my prayers will still go out to his passengers and his family.
That's bad, I feel for the families of the people involved also I hope they have a full recovery despite the fact that the driver made a huge mistake.
Much props to the caR for saving their lives, I wonder how other cars would have faired in that same accident.

damn, that sucks. that looks like a military base. Iperez, did they say where it happened? looks kind of like roosey roads. i feel sorry for the passengers, we dont know what happened that night and what state of mind they were in. but the driver is at fault (unless he had a gun to his head) IMO.
stupid
..thank God they didnt hurt anyone else, they get what they deserve. (i do feel sorry for the R though, such carelessness)
