are they accord 00+ lemons?
there was an article in Road & Track i believe a while ago, on the '99 and '00 accords preludes and CRVs which had some serious tranny problems. Some guy was on the freeway in his accord doing about 70, when his automatic tranny slipped into 2nd gear and slowed the car way down almost causing several accidents. He went back to the dealership, told them of what had happened and they put in a new tranny no questions asked. When i visited the dealership I asked them about it, and thats where i found that the preludes and CRVs were having the same problem as well

how you suppose to argue that? crv, prelude and accord have totally different chassis, tranny, and engine. how the heck did the same tranny problem happen on all three model?
BUT some 6th gen v6 do have tranny issue.

'01 Accord Coupe 2.3L had the tranny problem. Dealer didn't believe me when I told him so they test drove it. They couldn't believe I was dealing with it. It didn't downshift on the highway, it was just sluggish coming into gear from a stop or a South Philly Roll-through (AKA Rhode Island Roll-out).
It was replaced @ 40k. There was an advisory in place warrantying the trannys up to 100k despite the length of the 3/36 warranty.

a lemon is not something that happens across teh board.....so yea, there might have been some lemons out there, and most likely, they have already been junked.....
trannys are an issue if driven aggressivly and/or not maintained fluid

at the current time i have a job at a honda dealership and have seen many tranny replacements, but only in odyessys...also scene an accord 6 spd.with 2k on it get a new tranny but that was a managers demo that got the crap beatin out of it. oh and s2000 motors are crap...they get oil starvation in the #1 cylinder and burn up rings. scene a handfull of those...
a friend of mine bought a 2001 accord special edition, which is a 4cyl. Nice car, but he has 60k on the car and like a week after he bought it the tranny had to be replaced, that is so gay, and they wouldnt take the car back...
there is a guy in my neighborhood who had this really nicely modded Prelude, that guy told me that he was at the dealership a few times because of the transmission, i dont understand, i was so close to getting one of those, i cant believe they made them so shitty...they need to move Honda production back to Japan.
anything else except the transmission?
mine is manual.. i get a little vibration in the clutch pedal when i shift at high rpm, and even if i am stopped and just revving the engine (pressing on the clutch)
I have rubber-to-metal noise with the sunroof when its closed, whenever i get out of my driveway, or simply get bumps on the road..
Ive got some other wierd noise with the doorlock shaft (close to the window) it seems to hit on its side and it makes stressfull noise..
And i have a whirling noise coming from under the hood, i think its the alternator, but i have to check it closer..
All those little things makes me go wondering if i did a bad buy.. i had a 94 exr coupe and i loved it, but it needed major work (suspension, clutch, timing belt, loads of rust) but i didnt have as many little bugs!?
I love this new car but it scares me cuz i just got it and im already feeling kinda bad..WTF will happen to me!?!? loll

i dont know what it is but the quality of Honda's, from what ive observed, has seriously declined, i dont know if its the whole japanese car made in America thing, or what?
see, my brother wants a TL, and i ask him, why spend that much money on a Japanese entry level luxo thats made in America, go with Infiniti and get some true Japanese discipline in the feel of the car...anyone in agreeance?
oh, one more thing, how is the RSX and TSX made in Japan, and the TL is made here? do they sell the TL in Japan? or is it exclusive to the US?

because that makes a difference???....fyi, honda has beening making ADM cars in the usa since the 80's....even the 5th gen Accord SiR was build in america....in the same plant as my underpowered little EX.....
where the car is made doesnt mean jack ****. you dont think the j series auto trannies are bad in japan too??...or maybe when their made, they sprinkly magical JDM dust all over the parts, so they can be uber awesome and never break. you are a ******* retard....

you think the infiniti QX56 (or w/e the hell that big gas guzzeling piece of **** is called) is made in japan?? NO ******* WAY!.....once again dude, what country a car is made in doesnt mean ****. it all matters on how the car in engineered, and in what way its put togther (not where)
FYI: the Accord Inspire (V6 USDM 7th gen being sold in japan with a diferent badging than the regular accord) is slowly becoming more popular throughout japan and the rest of asia because its bigger and has more power than the ADM Accord (USDM TSX).....even people in japan dont care where cars are made.
and another thing, the RSX and TSX arent built in japan......like all of honda's cars, a certain percentage of parts come from japan, US, mexico, canada, etc.....the TL has just nearly as many japanese and canadaian parts as teh TSX and RSX...oh, and guess what, it actuallt gas 4 wheel double wishbone suspenstion....RSX cant say that....
get off the "Japanese is better than american" bandwagon, you are truly retarded

you truly have issues, regardless, is there a reason you are so angry? has someone trodded on your miniscule self? by me asking about whether the origins of cars are a factor, does this harm you in any way? are you ok? do you need help? ****, you call me a retard but you're having a ****-fit...drink some water or something and calm yourself down. I wonder, did your parents teach you manners?
